Project takeover and maintenance

We take over software that was left half-done or unowned, fix it and keep it running.

Typical targets; the real figure is measured in the pilot.

  • Within a few daysTypical target for the review report
  • MonthlyRegular updates and backups
  • Within minutesTarget for shipping a fix once ready

The problem

The person or company who built the software is gone, or doesn't reply. The site is slow, something breaks somewhere, and there is nobody to ask. You also can't be sure that outdated packages haven't left a security hole.

Who it is for

  • Anyone who parted ways with their developer
  • Businesses with an old, slow site
  • Owners of a buggy project with nobody maintaining it
  • Anyone who wants regular technical support

What it does

  1. Review first

We go through the code, server and accounts, and write down what sits where.

  2. Bug fixes

We fix forms that don't work, broken pages and recurring errors.

  3. Speed-ups

We find why pages load slowly and lighten the images and code.

  4. Security updates

We update outdated packages and close known holes.

  5. Getting access back

We make sure the domain, server and code accounts are in your hands.

  6. Monthly maintenance

Backups, updates and small fixes are done every month on schedule.

How we deliver it

  1. 01

    We get access

We collect access to the code, server and domain, and sort out anything missing with you.

  2. 02

    We hand over a review

We show what is broken, outdated or risky in a plain report.

  3. 03

    We fix by priority

We solve what hurts most first and tell you about every fix.

  4. 04

    We move to maintenance

If you like, we move to monthly maintenance so updates and small jobs run on schedule.

Questions

Do you take over code someone else wrote?

Yes. We review it first and tell you plainly whether it can be taken over. If it is too tangled and a rewrite makes more sense, we say so.

Which technologies do you work with?

Mostly Next.js, React and Node.js. We can also look at WordPress sites. If it is something else, we say so in the review.

How long does a takeover take?

The review usually takes a few days. Fixes vary with what we find, and we give a firm schedule after the review.

What does monthly maintenance cover?

Updates, backups, security monitoring and small fixes. New features are discussed separately.
